The Urban Folk Theory’s Evolution Ceilidh…
We took our Evolution Ceilidh on it’s first outing to Bromyard Folk festival’s Ceilidh house for the Friday night. A entire Friday night of amazing tunes and dancing gets off to a nice early gentle start with some fab tunes on Melodion, Fiddle and Guitar from Simon Care, Mark Jolley and Manny Grimsley with caller Cate Lee and then after 1/2 an hour or so the Cajon (Nick Haynes) joins and later still the first set of Drums (Nick Haynes) and Bass (Phil Wilcox) with Barry Goodman calling. The band then evolved into the Urban Folk Theory with Harry Lee on Drums, Cate Lee on Fiddle, Phil Wilcox on Accordion and Nick Haynes on Bass laid over the top of some tracks, loops and effects programmed by Nick and triggered by Harry on the laptop with Pete Rees calling with all the Musicians from the earlier part of the evening making an appearence to play tunes of their choice with us.
An absolutely brilliant night!
Thank you to all who came and threw some shapes to Folk music and to Bromyard for having us…
After Ely…
